Russia Muftis Council has the honour of inviting you to the 16th Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition!

The contest will take place on October 11, 2015 in the concert hall of Crocus City Hall located at the 65-66 km of the Moscow Ring Road. It will start in the foyer of the hall at 12:30 Moscow Time.

It will be organized under the auspices of the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin with the aid of Moscow City Government, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture.

The contest will be attended by renown Qur'an reciters from more than 40 countries of the world. They will contend in the nominations of hifz (recitation of Qur'an by heart). Russia will be represented at the contest by young reciter Bilyal Abdulhalikov from the Republic of Dagestan.

This year, the guests of the contest will have a chance to attend an extensive program in the foyer of the hall, meet many honourary guests, world renown huffaz who will share the secrets of their art at a workshop. The special guest of this year's contest is Maher Al Mueaqly, the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, whose recitation is known to millions of Muslims all across the world. The contest will also include the draw of three lesser pilgrimage (Umrah) trip vouchers. The financial backing of the competition is performed by charity foundation SAFMAR.

Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin will appear before the media in the foyer of the concert hall at 13:30.

Due to the strict policy of Crocus City Hall, the accreditation will finish on October 8, 2015 at 19:00 Moscow Time sharp.

We kindly ask you to apply for accreditation as early as possible. Journalists and operators who do not apply will not be able to attend the event.

Media representatives will enter the venue through the staff entrance according to the accreditation lists. Passports are mandatory.
