A 2nd OIC Halal Middle East Exhibition & Congress 2013 continues in the exhibition centre of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The exhibit booth of Russia Muftis Council about Moscow Halal Expo caught interest of such high-ranking persons as the general secretary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu and the vice governor of Sharjah emirate his majesty sheikh Abdullah bin Salem al-Qassimi, as well as foreign guests of exhibition and congress.

During the first day of the exhibition, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between Expo Centre Sharjah and Russia Muftis Council. The memorandum was signed by CEO of the Expo Centre Saif Mohamed Al-Midfa and deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council, chairman of the organizing committee of international halal exhibition Rushan hazrat Abbyasov. The agreement was signed in the presence of Russian consulate in Dubai Mr Viktor Dopir.

According to the document, the parties plan to expand links and contacts between the organizations, as well as promote cultural, economical, financial and technological cooperation between Russian and Emirati businessmen.
