Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin arrived in Astana to take part in XII Session of the Secretariat of Congress of World and Traditional Religions that is scheduled to take place in the Senate of Kazakhstan Parliament.

First deputy mufti Damir Muhetdinov and deputy mufti Rafik Fattahetdinov also departed to Astana to take part in the session.

The session is devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Congress of World and Traditional Religions that is held in the capital of Kazakhstan once every three years on the initiative of the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. General secretary of this session is Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami.

The Agency for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is also hosting international academic and research conference "On the Role of Astana Interfaith Forum in the Dialogue of Civilizations" at these days.
