A meeting between the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Kuwait in Russian Federation Abdulaziz al-Adwani took place in RMC residency.

The meeting was also attended by the second secretary of Kuwaiti embassy Mr Rafai, first deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of European Russia Damir hazrat Muhetdinov and head of RMC international department Ildar hazrat Galeev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues pertaining to their cooperation, mentioning the high level of relations between the Kuwaiti state and Russia Muftis Council during the last 20 years.

"It is gratifying to emphasize that we've been interacting and cooperating in various fields, namely in science, charity, spiritual and educational activities, Islamic book publishing, organisation of conferences and forums for the last twenty years," said Ravil Gaynutdin.

During the meeting, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin informed the Kuwaiti party of the projects and events organized by Russia Muftis Council and thanked the ambassador, the other diplomats of the embassy and Kuwaiti representatives for participating in RMC's events.

Mr al-Adwani, in his turn, stressed that the meeting is devoted to discussing ways of further strengthening bilateral relations in old and new areas. He also added that cooperation with Russia Muftis Council is very important for Kuwait.

Both parties agreed on the importance of signing a memorandum between Russia Muftis Council and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Wakuf of Kuwait and continuing their fruitful cooperation.
