A delegation of Russia Muftis Council takes part in the 1st International conference “Road to Jerusalem” organized in Amman, capital of Jordan, under the patronage of King Abdullah II.

The conference is attended by scholars, religious figures, politicians and MPs from Arab and Muslim countries. Russia Muftis Council is represented by the chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Karelia Wisam Bardwil and the first deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow Oblast Rustam hazrat Davydov.

The event takes place in the conference hall of King Abdullah II Mosque in Amman. Participants of the conference will discuss issues of “Judaisation” of the Holy City and Israel’s false claims of discovering the footings of an ancient Jewish temple under the basement of Masjid al-Aqsa, third holiest place in Islam. Other issues to be discussed on the conference include “religious and historical significance of al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic and Christian shrines, courage of Jerusalemites who resist daily desecration of the mosque by the Israelis, and attacks on believers by radical Jewish groups supported by Israeli police.”

The three-day conference is organized by the Jordanian Parliament’s Commission on Palestine, the Arab Parliament and the International University of Islamic Sciences. During their visit to Amman, members of RMC delegation will deliver a report and greet the attendees of the conference on behalf of the spiritual head of Russian Muslims mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, and alsoattend a number of meetings with high Jordanian officials.
