The "Zakat" Charitable Foundation of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM) is implementing a special project to deliver Qurbani meat to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The initial stages of the project have already been completed. The Qurbani ritual was performed in India, where livestock is available at reasonable prices and there are slaughterhouses that comply with Shariah standards. After slaughter, the meat is canned for preservation, ensuring long-term assistance and safe delivery as stew.
The canned meat will be delivered to a warehouse in Egypt—the closest accessible point to Gaza. Although the border remains closed and opens unpredictably, foundation staff are awaiting favorable conditions to transfer the aid. Once the borders reopen, the assistance will reach Palestinians in need.
The "Zakat" Foundation expresses gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this initiative. Simultaneously, the foundation is already distributing meat as part of its charity campaign to refugees in Lebanon, as well as to those in need in Yemen and African countries.
