RBM Organizes Hajj Pilgrimage for Participants of Ongoing Events

The Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM) has launched a major initiative enabling over 5,000 participants of the ongoing events and their family members to perform Hajj this year. The announcement was made by Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of RBM for International Affairs and Hajj, and Mufti of Moscow Region, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"This humanitarian project became possible thanks to generous charitable support, particularly from Senator Suleiman Kerimov. It primarily honors those who have shown exceptional courage in service to our nation, along with their families," stated Mufti Abbyasov. *"The sponsorship covers all pilgrimage expenses for 5,000 believers - both active participants and relatives of those involved in the ongoing events."*

The RBM is currently managing all aspects of the pilgrimage operations, including:

  • Pre-departure preparations

  • Spiritual guidance programs

  • Logistical coordination

  • On-site support in Saudi Arabia

"Several groups have already arrived in the Holy Land, while others are completing final preparations," Abbyasov noted. "This Sunday I'll personally accompany another delegation at the airport, which includes decorated servicemen and family members of fallen heroes from across Russia's regions."

The Hajj pilgrimage, one of Islam's Five Pillars, will take place from June 4-9, 2025 in Mecca. The RBM emphasizes this initiative reflects the Muslim community's commitment to supporting those who serve the nation.
