On the instructions of the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, his deputy Mufti Rushan Abbyasov took part in the informational meeting of the leadership of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia - Islamic World” with the ambassadors of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The meeting was attended by Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia - Islamic World”, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan. The moderator was Marat Gatin, Deputy Chairman of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.

The event took place in the Reception House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow. The meeting was a continuation of the Group's consistent work to strengthen cooperation with Islamic countries and to deliver up-to-date information on developments in Russia's domestic and foreign policy.

The key topics were summarizing the results of the Group's activities in 2024, discussing the prospects of work in the current year, as well as preparations for the meeting of the Group in Kazan in May 2025 on the margins of the International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2025”, where the experience of Russia and Islamic countries in the field of youth policy will be considered. In the context of this topic, Talia Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented the program of events of the upcoming Forum.
