Moscow Halal Expo 2013 opened its doors on June 13 in 75th exhibition hall of All-Russian Exhibition Center.

According to preliminary data, more than a thousand people visited the exhibition on its first day. The opening ceremony and business programmes of the exhibition were attended by tens of world’s leading experts in Islamic finance and halal industry and some 20 international delegations.

The solemn opening ceremony began with a speech of the Head of Russian Muftis Council, leader of Russia’s Muslims mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. In his address to the audience, he called for Muslim entrepreneurs to abide by the rulings of Islam and compete on the market fairly. Other speakers included delegates of Moscow City Government and traditional religions, foreign delegates and the exhibition’s platinum partner company Risalat Holding.

In the course of the business programme, exhibition has simultaneously hosted IV Islamic Finance and Investment Forum and IV Moscow International Halal Congress.

Muslim Youth Forum, International Festival “Islamic Style” and Halal Food Show are scheduled to take place in the following days.
