With the blessing of the spiritual leader of the Muslims of Russia, Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, and with the assistance of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation, Mr Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad, a group of elders of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque will recently go on a minor pilgrimage (umrah) under the royal quota.
Before the trip, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the RBM of the Russian Federation for International Affairs and Hajj, met with the aksakals within the walls of the mosque. He told the future pilgrims about the basic rites and spiritual meanings of umrah. Rushan Hazrat also presented on behalf of the DUM of the Russian Federation to all members of the group sets of clothes for ihram and pocket collections of prayer-dua for hajj and umrah, published by the publishing house ‘CHITAI’.
At the end of the meeting, the future pilgrims prayerfully thanked Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and the Saudi leadership for the opportunity to make a spiritual journey to the main Muslim shrines.
