A delegation of Russia Muftis Council consisting of Deputy Chairman Rushan hazrat Abbyasov and the head of International Relations Office of RMC International Department Ildar Galeev visited Kuwait on June 2 to 5 on instructions from Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

In the course of the visit, Russian delegation took part in a number of meetings and negotiations, including a meeting with Deputy Minister of Awkaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait Dr Adel al-Falyah. During this meeting, members of Russian delegation informed Dr Falyah of the current state of affairs of Muslims in Russia, activities organized by RMC and such significant events as celebration of Mawlid an-Nabi in Russia, the Ramadan Tent, All-Russian Children’s Camp, international exhibition Moscow Halal Expo, Moscow International Qur’an Reading Contest and others.

Besides that, deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council emphasized the question of partnership and cooperation with state government bodies in regard to scientific, educational and cultural programs of Russia’s Muslim communities.

In the end of the meeting, Rushan hazrat Abbyasov offered an official invitation to the upcoming international exhibition Moscow Halal Expo 2013, which will take part between June 13 and 16 in Moscow, as well as other events organized by Russia Muftis Council. The Kuwaiti party evinced great interest in major events organized by Muftis Council and expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.
