We are satisfied with the outcome of the current negotiations. I am confident that the agreements reached will contribute to further strengthening of the whole complex of Russian-Iranian relations and ties. Of course, the signed interstate treaty will serve this purpose,’ President Putin said.

At the end of the talks, the two heads of state gave a joint press conference.

Our country attaches paramount importance to further strengthening of friendly and good-neighbourly Russian-Iranian relations. These relations are based on the principles of equality, respect and consideration of each other's interests, mutual assistance and support, which are consistently embodied in concrete deeds. And the multifaceted bilateral partnership is progressively developing from year to year,’ the Russian leader said at a press conference.


President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Massoud Pezeshkian emphasised: ‘Within the framework of the neighbourhood policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation is very important for us. ...I think we will further work within the framework of trade and economic relations, there are certain mechanisms. Today's big treaty that was signed will open a new big chapter in our relations, especially Iran-Russia trade and economic relations.’

We are united in not resting on our laurels and taking relations to a qualitatively new level. This is the meaning of the signed interstate Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,’ the Russian head of state said during the press conference.
