Hajimurad Magomedov, Russian freestyle wrestler and Olympic champion, visited Moscow Islamic University. During the visit he had a meeting with the administration of the university, including rector D. Z. Hayretdinov and pro-rector for academic affairs and research R. R. Izmaylov.

The rector told Hajimurad Magomedov about the scope of university's activity. The guest showed his genuine interest in the education process, and in particular, to the academic performers of his countrymen.

As a Muslim living in Moscow, Hajimurad noted that the very fact of existence of such an institution in the heart of Russia deserves great respect, not to speak of the university's recent successes.

In the end of the meeting Hajimurad Magomedov wished the university's teaching staff all the best in their pious work of raising and giving education to future scholars and imams. The guest has also assured the MIU administration in his total support and cooperative attitude.
