Muftis, mukhtasibs and imams have arrived in the capital to participate in advanced training courses, the Barudi International Readings, and then in the VIII Kurultai-Congress of the RBM of the Russian Federation.

Also, the head of the Muslims of Russia urged to honor history. According to him, the purpose of holding anniversary events these days is to know and cherish our history. “We are proud that in December we will celebrate the anniversary of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, built in 1904, the 30th anniversary of the RBM of the Russian Federation, the 30th anniversary of the MII. This year it was 40 years since I received my diploma and began to serve as imam-hatib of the mosque. In July it was 37 years since I became imam-hatib of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. These events take place exactly in the days when the Moscow Sobornaya Mosque was inaugurated on September 23, 2015 with the participation of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin after the expanded construction and reconstruction. This is our history, dear brothers! It is in these historic days that you and I have gathered here together,” he said.

The spiritual leader of Russia's Muslims said that the plenum of the Russian RBM nominated him as a candidate for the post of chairman of the RBM. “If I am supported at the congress, we will work together with you for another 5 years, raising the bar even higher, to fulfill the assigned duties and conduct the activities of the RBM RF for the benefit of our believers, for the benefit of our sacred religion Islam, for the benefit of our multinational, multireligious people, for the benefit of our great country, which today, unfortunately, is experiencing great pressure from Western countries and is conducting a special military operation and fighting to preserve its unity, integrity. Our Muslims are also fighting in the SMO. They are becoming heroes, role models for all our brothers and sisters. Their heroism gives us reason to be proud of our Muslims as patriots of their country, who are ready to give their lives for the good of the country, for the good of the people, for the preservation of spiritual, moral, traditional values of the peoples of the Russian Federation. We do not want the development of Satanism, the development of gender transformation. We stand for those family values and declare: there is a father, there is a mother, there are children born to them. These values are immutable, they are established by covenant and by the command of Allah Almighty. We have no right to violate the precepts of Allah,” Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin concluded.
