The economic faculty of Dagestan State University hosted the first day of an all-Russian workshop conference “Islamic Finance in Russian Setting”.

The conference is organized by trust partnership "LâRiba Finance" and Dagestan State University with the support of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Dagestan. The conference has brought together many pioneers and founders of Islamic financial companies from Moscow, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. Guests from Chechnya, Ingushetia and several other regions of Russia also took part in the conference.

During the first day, participants discussed history and current state of Islamic financial institutions in the world, as well as different aspects of sharia control and social responsibility of Islamic finance. M. S. Saaduyev, A. G. Gazizov, A. Y. Zhuravlev, B. H. Aliyev, M. S. Aliskerov and M. E. Kalimullina all expressed their views on given topics. Gulim Rakhitov, head of Islamic finance department of Russian Islamic University, has also shared his training experience. In the evening, conference speakers will take part in Radio Vatan live broadcast.
