Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin attends reception with Recep Tayyip Erdogan Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin attended a reception with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The reception was organized for religious leader - muftis who arrived in Istanbul to participate in the Consultative Meeting of Islamic Scholars. The Mufti was accompanied by his deputy, Rushan Abbyasov. The event took place at Dolmabahce, the palace of the Ottoman sultans.

The President greeted the participants and mentioned the Mother's Day, emphasizing that in different countries of the world mothers celebrate this special day happily and peacefully with their loved ones, but not Palestinian mothers who lose their children. The speech was mainly devoted to the tragedy of the long-suffering Palestinian people. In his address to the delegates, he emphasized that by their presence they are not only fulfilling their duty to humanity and brotherhood, but also expressing unity with the Palestinians. The President thanked the Islamic scholars who stood up for Gaza and Palestine and expressed the hope that the Consultative Meeting of Islamic Scholars would benefit all Muslims, especially the Palestinians.

The Mufti conveyed to Mr. President greetings on behalf of the Russian Ummah and thanked him for organizing such a beneficial event. The religious leader of Russian Muslims emphasized the importance of such forums that allow Muslim scholars, muftis, state and public figures to discuss the most pressing issues on the world agenda and develop timely and effective solutions. In this context, he expressed gratitude to Dr. Ali Erbaş, Chairman of the Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, for the invitation to participate in the consultative meeting. He also noted that the RBM of the Russian Federation and the Directorate of Religious Affairs enjoyed mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the existing Memorandum of Cooperation.
