Ildar Galeyev, Head of the International Department of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, met with Dr. Muna Al-Suwaidi, Head of the Culture and Creative Industries Sector of the UAE Ministry of Culture, within the framework of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting Ildar Galeyev conveyed greetings on behalf of the religious leader of Russian Muslims, Chairman of the DUM of the Russian Federation and SMR Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, and also told about the projects and programs, including those implemented jointly with the UAE. In particular, he noted that the Muhammad bin Zayd University of Humanities was the co-organizer of the Moscow International Quran Recitation Contest in 2023. The Head of the International Department of the RBM of the Russian Federation emphasized that this event became one of the landmark events in the cultural and religious dimensions of Russian-Emirati cooperation.

Ildar Galeyev also recalled that in 2015, the delegation of the Russia Muftis Council took part in the 19th Dubai International Holy Quran Award, where the Chairman of the Dubai Department of Culture and Arts, Sheikh Mansour bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award Ibrahim Bumilha presented a diploma to the first deputy chairman of the RMC Rushan Abbyasov.

Ildar Galeev also spoke about the close and friendly relations between the heads of Russia and the UAE, which contributes to the strengthening of brotherhood and unity between the peoples of the two countries.

In turn, Mrs. Al-Suwaidi spoke about the activities of the Ministry and confirmed the interest in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation in the field of cultural, religious and educational programs.
