On May 3, a delegation of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia visited the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf of the State of Qatar. Dr Damir Mukhetdinov, first deputy chairman of the RBMRF, met with Minister Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim.

Dr. Damir Mukhetdinov conveyed greetings from Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, head of the Religious Boad of Muslims of Russia, and spoke about religious life of Russian Muslims. He also informed the other party about the activities of the RBMRF related to diplomacy and international academic and humanitarian projects, including the activities of the Publishing House "Medina", the International Muslim Forum and the Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition. He thanked the Qatari party for its active participation in international events and projects held under the auspices of RBMRF.

Minister Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim conveyed warm greetings and wished good health and prosperous life to Mufti Gaynutdin. He expressed interest in launching new joint projects in the field of education, science and research.

The meeting was attended by Ildar Galeyev, head of the International Department of the RBMRF, and Ilyas Sadulin, head of the Science and Education Department of the RBMRF.
