Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Russia Muftis Council, visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Abdurahman Al-Ahmad. The meeting was also attended by the deputy Mufti Rushan Abbyasov and Ildar Galeyev.

The religious leader of the Russian Muslims shared with the Ambassador the results of his official visit to Saudi Arabia, which took place last December at the invitation of Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the KSA.

In particular, he mentioned the roadmap signed by the RMC and the Ministry, which included various joint projects, such as scientific conferences, Qur'an reciting competitions, cultural, religious and educational activities.

The parties stressed the importance of the visit that reflected the strong ties between the leaders of Russia and the KSA, and expressed confidence that the signing of the road map would contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin also conveyed words of gratitude to the leadership of Saudi Arabia and expressed a high opinion of the latest infrastructure developments in Mecca and Medina.
