Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin visited the Embassy of Türkiye in Moscow. The head of the Russian Muslims was met by Mehmet Samsar, Turkish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation, and Omar Faruk, Advisor for Religious Affairs of the Turkish Embassy.

The leader of Russian Muslims prayed for the victims and left a note in the book of condolences:

On behalf of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, the Russia Muftis Council, 25 million Russian Ummah and myself, I express my sincere and deep condolences to the Turkish people and the leadership of Türkiye in connection with this terrible disaster.
The Russian Muslims share the pain and sorrow of those who lost their loved ones in this powerful earthquake, grieve for the victims, ask Allah Almighty to grant the victims a speedy recovery and relief.
We pray to the Almighty Creator to accept the souls of those who lost their lives and bestow His Grace upon them.
