A delegation from the Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, headed by Dr. Karima Matar al-Mazrawi, Advisor to the Principal, paid an official visit to the Moscow Islamic Institute, on November, 19.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with the representatives of the Russia's leading Islamic university and its administration, discuss cooperation plans and exchange views on cooperation in the field of religion.
The guests were received by the first vice principal Timur Fahretdinov, vice principal for research Renat Islyamov and acting dean of the Department of Theology Ruslan Baishev. In his welcome speech the first vice principal conveyed the greetings and best wishes on behalf of the principal of the Moscow Islamic Institute Damir Mukhetdinov and thanked the guests for their visit. Then the guests were offered a tour of the renovated campus of the Institute and were informed about the activities of the Institute, its history and curriculum. Dr Karima Mather al-Mazrawi thanked for the warm welcome and invited them to attend the International Conference "The Role of Islamic Studies in Universities", which will take place on November 22-24 in Abu Dhabi.
During the conversation the parties have expressed mutual interest in cooperation and development of partnership between universities.
