Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia held a working meeting with the staff of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia and the Russian Export Centre. The meeting was attended by the recently appointed representative of the Russian Export Centre in Iran Khosrow Hasanbekov, Commercial Secretary of the Iranian Embassy in the Russian Federation Iraj Zarei, Chief Adviser of the Embassy Bahram Heidari and Head of International Department of the RBMRF Ildar Galeyev.

Rushan Abbyasov welcomed the guests on behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and informed them about historical Russian-Iranian relations and contacts in the religious sphere. He also spoke about the efforts of the institutions headed by Mufti aimed at expanding cooperation with relevant departments and organizations in Iran.

The parties also discussed issues related to trade and economy. Rushan Abbyasov invited the guests to participate in the "Moscow Halal Expo" project.

During the meeting Rushan Abbyasov congratulated Khosrow Hasanbekov on his appointment as a REC representative in Iran and the opening of a representative office in Tehran. He expressed confidence that it would contribute to the development of commercial relationships between the two countries.
