The Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Reza Sajjadi and Head of the Cultural Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, Mr. Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman at request of the Iranian side. The conversation was attended by the Muftiyat Chief of Staff Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, director of the International Department of the Russian Muftis Council Renat hazrat Abyanov and representatives of the Embassy.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin told Mr. Ambassador about the meeting held on the eve with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. during which they discussed issues concerning the construction of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque and the allocation of additional seats for the construction of new mosques. This topic has been persistently and deliberately voiced and pursued by the Russian Muftis Council for two decades, the need to solve it has been positively received by the Moscow mayor.

Ravil hazrat informed the Ambassador about the changes that have occurred in support of the Foundation of Islamic culture, science and education. The Mufti expressed his confidence that the new foundation structure, which member a representative of the Russian Muftis Council Ildar Nurimanov became, will manifest itself highly professional, as objective people that can solve the most challenging tasks to develop the Muslim community of Russia.

Mr. Reza Sajjadi said that he had always been a supporter of the wise policy of the Russian Muftis Council: "I have repeatedly said on this topic at the meetings with the ambassadors of other countries, urging them to give a correct evaluation of provocation of destructive forces, that try to divide the Muslim Ummah of Russia, as well as embroil representatives of the two major religions of Russia among themselves."

In conclusion, Mr. Ambassador, has invited Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran with an official visit, during which the administration of the President of Iran, made a fundamental desire to arrange a meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with the spiritual leader of Muslims of Russia. The Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin gratefully accepted the invitation, stressing that every visit to this great country with which Russia has historically warm and constructive relationship, leaves the heart very fond memories.
