At the residence of the Russian Muftis Council the Chairman of RMC Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and his deputies met with a delegation from France, which included: Ambassador-at-large of France, the French Foreign Ministry Adviser on Religious Affairs, Mr. Roland Dyubertran, head of the central Ministry of religions France, Mr. Louis-Xavier Tyrode, Counsellor of the Embassy Alexander Zhiorzhini, Assistant Embassy Alexander Mirless.

The guests listened with great attention to the detailed story of the Head of the RMC on the history and geography of Islam in Russia since the Russian Empire and today's changes, listened with interest to the statistics of changes in recent history. The current migration and demographic situation was of particular interest. This is not surprising: France – is a country that is already in the 60 years of the last century, faced with the demographic challenge of aging populations, shortages of labor resources and in which, starting from the middle of the twentieth century many immigrants came from North Africa, Turkey and other regions. Most of the migrants are Muslims.

No less interest was raised by the story of the actions to resolve the migratory flows that were being made in Russia, the greatest interest and attention was paid to the experience of centuries of peaceful residence of the Muslim peoples of Russia and the peoples of other religions.

"Muslims in Russia - not guests on this land, our ancestors accepted Islam and we are proud of our shared history in our common Fatherland," - the spiritual leader of Muslims of Russia said.

Guests also noted the common challenges faced by Muslim organizations and government agencies of our two countries: the issues of building temples - they are in France, according to statistics given by Mr. Louis Xavier Tyrode - Head of Central Department of the Interior Ministry of confessions of France, about 3500, when the Muslim population of France 3,5 million people.

The second problem is a training of clergy in France itself, because the mentality of the newcomers from Muslim countries, Imams is different from the Muslim citizens of France in the second and third generation. Islamic centers of learning in France are not able to solve this problem completely. Muslim clerics got the opportunity to receive state diplomas in law and social science.

The guests spoke about the issue of certification of halal products and listened about the successes in this field in Russia and the recent success of the Russian delegation, headed by Aydar Gazizov - Head of Halal Certification Authority of the Russian Muftis Council at the conference in  Ar-Riyadh.

Lively discussion arose regarding the topic of secular and religious relations in routine life and everyday life: questions of wearing hijabs in schools, and other behavioral aspects as well.

The separate discussion was about the situation in the Arab Muslim world.
