During the visit to Kuwait the Delegation of the Russian Muftis Council held a series of meetings aimed at intensifying cooperation between the Russian Muftis Council and civil society organizations of Kuwait.

During the talks with the head of the International Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments (Awqaaf), Mr. Amar Walid, the interim results of cooperation and the prospects of further cooperation were announced. After getting acquainted with the plans of the Russian Muftis Council for the current year, Amar Walid expressed the observation that attempts to denigrate and belittle the work of the Russian Muftis Council, had contributed to more closely unite employees, whose experience and young creative approach combined for the further development of the spiritual life of Muslims of Russia . "We are attentively watching events in Moscow and we see that the Russian Muftis Council is on the right track," - Mr. Amar Walid said. He inquired with great interest about the progress of construction of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, drawing attention to the fact that it was time that in the heart of Russia a large modern mosque suited to the needs of many parishioners of the metropolis would finally appear.

After meeting with Mr. Amar Walid, the RMC delegation held talks with the Director of External Relations of the Organization “Zakat House”, Abdullah Ahmad Usman Al Haidar, where the Vice-Chairman of the RMC Rushan hazrat Abbyasov presented the activities of the Russian Muftis Council, acquainted Mr. Abdullah with the achievements of RMC and spoke about the plans for in 2012.

Mr Abdullah has expressed great satisfaction to get acquainted with the representatives of the RMC and assured them that he would assist in the implementation of planned programs.

"Russia is a vast country - Mr Abdullah said – with a rich Muslim history and our common duty is to preserve and increase the Russian and Islamic heritage, which we must pass on to future generations.”

In a sign of his serious intention to cooperate with the RMC, head of the Zakat House arranged an interview with Rushan hazrat Abbyasov on the radio, during which he spoke about the history of Islam in Russia, as well as the Qur'an competitions held in our country, in particular, about the Moscow International Competition of Quran recitation, presented the CD and booklet of the Competition.
