The Russian Muftis Council and the Menara Group announced the launch of halal guide to cities in Russia. MuslimGuide intended to provide guidance to various customers, whether they are residents of Russian cities, or foreigners coming to Russia, on the most rapid and convenient search facilities for halal infrastructure. Currently a wealth of information on objects of the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg is available. There are plans to add other big cities of Russia, Ukraine and other regions.

The Guide is available through the portal of the same name muslimguide.ru and contains the database of halal producers, cafes and restaurants, points of commerce, mosques and prayer rooms, as well as other objects that may be of interest to Muslims. The impetus for the creation of this portal was numerous requests and appeals of visitors of the capital and other regions of Russia with respect to halal food points. "Quite often we in the Department of Economics of the Russian Muftis Council we get calls from foreigners and Russian Muslims with the issues regarding the halal certification of this or that cafe" - the director of the Department of Economics of the Russian Muftis Council Madina Kalimullina said. In developing the portal, its owners came from the fact that today, both in Moscow and other Russian cities, it is difficult to find points of food supply, which  100% meets halal standards, which means that the restaurant has only halal menu, as well as there is prohibition to smoke, drink alcohol and smoke hookah and there is room for prayers. Based on the singularity of such facilities, many Muslims are ready to visit places where at least the availability of halal meat is possible. "The purpose of our site - to report on such places for visitors, and at the same time to show the advantages of certified points"- the representative of the Menar Group said - "This will contribute to the development of halal industry in Russia." It is important to note that the website operates with a system of feedbacks, and any visitor can leave a comment on this or that institution or to add a new item. In the near future the English version of the portal is planned to launch for the maximum comfort of our guests in Russia.
