The Russian Muftis Council hosted a meeting of the Chairman RMC Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin with recently arrived in Moscow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia in Moscow Jauhari Oratmangun. The delegation involved Mohammed Aji Surya – Counsellor of the Embassy of Indonesia on issues of culture and science and Endzhay Daina - Secretary of the Embassy.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the RMC, RMC Chief of Staff Rushan hazrat Abbyasov and Head of International Department of RMC Renat hazrat Abyanov.

The Indonesian Ambassador Jauhari Oratmangun first conveyed greetings from the Indonesian government, Muslims, and former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Russia Hamid Awaluddin, and said that this appointment is a great honor for him.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin welcomed the Ambassador and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation, stressing that the close cooperation that has been developed during the Ambassador Hamid Awaluddin will be continued.

"Hamid Awaluddin participated actively in the life of Russian Muslims, being not only a permanent participant of the events organized by the Russian Muftis Council, but also being co-organizer of several conferences on topical issues such as Russian Muslim Ummah and the world" - Ravil hazrat said.

In addition, Hazrat Mufti spoke about the recent Presidential election, stressing that by electing Putin, Russians voted for stability and development.

Mr. Ambassador Jauhari Oratmangun noticed that the choices made by the Russians, no doubt were correct, as the authority of Putin is high not only in Russia but throughout the world.

The Ambassador pointed out that Russia and Indonesia are tied by warm and constructive relationships, and the role of these countries in the world today cannot be overestimated, as Russia and Indonesia are key players not only in the region, but also in world politics. "It is gratifying that the Russian government has consistently supported the friendly course of bilateral relations", - this thought ran through all the statements of the distinguished guest.

Mufti Hazrat introduced Jauhari Oratmangun with projects of RMC, in particular, the All-Russian Congress of Muslim women, Moscow Halal Expo 2012, the Tent of Ramadan, the Moscow International Competition for recitation of the Quran.

The Ambassador promised to not only participate but also to actively involve the Indonesian representatives to participate in the programs of development assistance.

In addition, Ravil hazrat stressed the importance of cooperation in education, Islamic banking, halal industry and Islamic television.

The RMC Chairman praised the good friend of the Russian Muftis Council Counselor of the Embassy of Indonesia on issues of culture and science Muhammad Aji Surya.

The Ambassador invited the Mufti Hazrat visit Indonesia this year with an official visit to meet with the Council of Ulema of Indonesia, the most influential religious organization in the country. The invitation was accepted with gratitude.
