The Delegation of the Russian Muftis Council consisted of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan Abbyasov and head of Department for Cooperation with the Muslim Religious Board of the Russian Muftis Council Ali Hasanov is with a working visit to Chita.

The delegation has already visited the Primorskiy region, Kirov region, the Republic of Komi. During the visit, they work in the regions, meeting with the regions representatives of Muslim communities.

During the visit the delegation met with the governor  of Trans-Baikal region Ravil Geniatulin. The meeting was also attended by the head of Muslims of Trans-Baikal region Reshat Saidashev.

The Head of Delegation of RMC Rushan Abbyasov conveyed greetings and presented a letter of thanks on behalf of the Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, who particularly marked the activities of the governor to promote peace and harmony among peoples professing different religions.

Rushan hazrat, in his turn, noted that the governor held a lot of work in the province, with his direct participation, implemented a wise policy on national issues.

"The governor of Trans-Baikal Territory is a man of actions and its deeds do not disaccord with words. He helps the different nationalities, assists in the construction of the Orthodox churches and Buddhist datsans and Muslim mosques. This leads to good neighborly relations between different nationalities, "- Rushan Abbyasov said.

According to Deputy Chairman of the RMC, the reputation of the Trans-Baikal region is as a prosperous region, where there are no ethnic differences and there is a stable environment.

The governor was presented the books of Mufti of Russia, "Islam. Challenges of our time "," Islam. Mercy for the Worlds "and materials about the activities of the Russian Muftis Council, including the establishment of a social network« SalamWorld », which aims at overcoming the problem of Islamophobia in humans.

Ravil Geniatulin and Rushan Abbyasov in the course of the conversation touched on the media's role in the formation of negative images of the Islamic religion, antipathy to the representatives of this religion. "We can not allow extremist manifestations. We need to convey to people the true meaning of the traditions, customs, and talk about cultures and develop inter-religious dialogue, - Rushan Abbyasov said.

Ravil Geniatulin told the representatives of the RMC about geostrategic position of the region, the history of the development of the Trans-Baikal region, the traditions of good neighborly relations to each other from different nationalities.

“Trans-Baikal region is unique in many ways. Here, in peace and harmony for centuries dozens of nations have been living. Currently our region is home to over 100 nationalities. We have accumulated a vast experience of tolerance of people of completely different nationalities and religions to each other, "- the head of the region said.

The Governor also spoke about the activities of a unique, even in Russian-wide association - the Assembly of Peoples of Trans-Baikal. This organization brings together dozens of national associations, successfully working since 2000, and it is a real institution of civil society.

Ravil Geniatullin expressed support for social and educational projects that plan to implement in the Trans-Baikal region by the Muslim community.
