On April 21, Saratov opened the conference "Zakat: purification of the property - a pledge of prosperity." The conference is held in the Saratov Agricultural Academy and attracted about 200 participants from Saratov, Saratov Oblast and neighboring regions.

The conference began with a reading of the Holy Quran ayats by Mufti of the Penza region, the Quran-hafiz Islam Hazrat Dashkin and presentation of the video report about the social programs of the Religious Board of Muslims of Saratov region.

Experts of the Russian Muftis Council, in cooperation with foreign experts have been prepared and published the book "Zakat. A practical guidance", focused on the Russian Muslims. Translations of famous conceptual scientific papers on Zakat are prepared for publication, we continue the study of historical and international experience and preparing a guide for Muslim communities in the socio-economic development field.

A year ago Zakat Foundation was registered under the Religious Board of Muslims of European part of Russia. Today, employees of the Fund shall take part in this Conference to exchange experiences in this project.
