The representatives of the Youth Forum of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) represented by Kashiri Hussein Hassan, Youth Adviser at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Loubis Tantan Taufik, Vice-President of the OIC Youth Forum for Asia, visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The delegation was met by Rushan Abbyasov (deputy chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia) amd Ildar Galeyev (head of the International Department of the RBMRF).

Rushan Abbyasov conveyed the greetings and best wishes from Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and offered the guests a tour of the mosque. He informed them about the history of the mosque and its reconstruction, demonstrated its interior and architectural features, as well as the exhibitions of the mosque's museum.

During the meeting Rushan Abbyasov spoke about the current state of the Muslim Ummah in Russia and provided infomration on the wide range of activities of the RMC and RBMRF. He noted that this year marked by the 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgarians, and mentioned some relevant large-scale events such as conferences, forums, including youth events, exhibitions, book publication and presentation.

Rushan Abbyasov invited the participants of the Youth Forum to take part in the upcoming events. He noted that the RMC, RBMRF and OIC have close relationships and ties that allow to implement numerous joint projects and programmes.

The representatives of the Youth Forum also presented their activities and expressed their readiness to contribute to engaging the Muslim youth, involving them in different projects and establishing communication channels between the youth Muslim communities of the world.
