On February 13, the Russian exposition was opened at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) at the GULFOOD-2022 with the participation of the RBMRF delegation.

More than 60 Russian companies, including those producing halal products, are attending the exhibition. The Russian companies are supported by the Russian Export Center and participate in this exhibition for the fifth year in a row, which allows them promote their products on the Middle Eastern markets. Halal food products constitute a significant part of the Russia's exports to the GCC countries.

During the opening ceremony of the Russian exposition at Gulfood-2022 Sergey Levin (Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation), Timur Zabirov (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the UAE), Veronika Nikishina (Director General of REC) and others delivered welcoming speeches.  

The Russian delegation is headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims, Damir Mukhetdinov. The delegation includes Rafik Fattakhtdinov (Deputy Chairman of the RBMRF for Internal Affairs), Aidar Gazizov (Head of the International Halal Standardization and Certification Centre), and others.

The Gulfood is the most large-scale global exhibition for food and beverages, which attracts numerous visitors, exhibitors and entrepreneurs.
