Russian and Turkish publishing houses discussed cooperation prospects Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Russia Muftis Council, editor-in-chief of the Chitay publishing house, met with Murat Aydemir, director of the Publishing House of the Turkish Religious Foundation.

The meeting was also attended by Omer Faruk Savuran, adviser to the Turkish Ambassador for Religious Affairs, Rais Yanglichev, assistant adviser, Yalcin Aktan, representative of the Turkish Foundation Publishing House, Ildar Nurimanov, deputy chairman of the RBMRF and General Director of "Medina" publishing house, and representatives of the "Barakat" brand Alsu Hasyanova and Khalil Adukhov.

The representatives of the RBMRF told the guests about activities of the "Chitay" and "Medina" publishing houses and presented a number of recent publications. They noted that some of the books published this year were dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria, and next year the number of such publications is expected to increase. The director of the Turkish publishing house spoke about the published literature and pointed out the successful experience of cooperation with the Russian party in the publishing field.

During the meeting the parties exchanged cooperation ideas, identified potential projects for joint publishing, and agreed to maintain and develop professional dialogue and partnership.

After the meeting the parties exchanged gifts, and the guests were offered a tour of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
