On Wednesday, September 8, a delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the United Arab Emirates visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. The delegation included heads of different departments of the Chamber.

The delegates were received by the deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Russia Muftis Council, Rushan Abbyasov. The meeting was attended by Ildar Galeyev, head of the International Department of the RMC, and Akhmad Azimov, Adviser to the Chairman of the RMC.

The delegates were offered a guided tour of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, where they had the opportunity to learn about the history of the mosque and admire its interior. After that Rushan Abbasov conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the RMC and RBMRF, and spoke about the implemented  projects that also involved the UAE representatives. In particular, he mentioned the Moscow International Quran Reciting Competition, which received a Dubai Quran Award in 2015 as one of the best competitions in the world, the Ramadhan Tent, as well as various charity events supported by the UAE Embassy in Russia and personally by Ambassador Muhammad Ahmed Al-Jaber.

Rushan Abbyasov also spoke about the Moscow Halal Expo exhibition, which was held in Bahrain under the brand "Made in Russia" in 2019. Rushan Abbyasov stressed that this experience can also be shared with the UAE by holding another 'Made in Russia' exhibition in the Emirates.

At the end of the meeting the parties thanked each other for the informative dialogue and confirmed their readiness to develop partnership at different levels through the implementation of joint projects and programmes.
