Rushan Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the RMC and RBMRF, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, Abdurahman Saati.

The parties discussed a number of cooperation-related issues, stressed the importance of maintaining contacts and relations between Russian Muslims and their Bahraini fellow believers and agreed to pursue certain projects.

Rushan Abbyasov emphasized that Russian organisations had longstanding and productive relations with Bahrain. He added that thanks to the assistance of the Ambassador, the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia are able to maintain close contacts with their Bahraini counterparts - the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

"The cooperation is developing mostly due to the memorandum signed by the religious leaders of Russia and Bahrain — Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and Sheikh Abdurahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa," said the deputy chairman of the RMC and the RBMRF.
