Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, sent a letter of congratulation to Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Salimi, Minister of Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, on the occasion of the 50th National Day.

In his message Mufti Ravil Gainutdin noted the high level of cooperation between Muslims of Russia and Oman, which would not have been possible without a balanced and well-thought policy of the country's leadership. He also mentioned that the relationship between the countries are actively developing, as both parties are invited to participate in various events held in Oman and Russia and exchange high delegations.

The religious leader of Russian Muslims also noted that the Sultanate of Oman is distinguished by religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence of followers of different religions and madhabs. The success in maintaining peace and harmony within Omani society should certainly be credited to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed and his team.

At the end of the letter, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin wished prosperity and wellbeing to the people of Oman and expressed the hope that relationshis between Russia and Oman, including those in the field of Islamic affairs and education, would benefit the peoples of both countries.
