A meeting between Rushan Abbyasov (first deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council) and Omar Faruk Savuran (representative of the Directorate for Religious Affairs of Turkey in Russia, Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Russia) took place at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

During the meeting, the Turkish diplomat spoke about recent events that he attended and thanked the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation for assistance and support.

Omar Savuran conveyed greetings on behalf of Ali Erbas (Chairman of the Directorate for Religious Affairs of Turkey) to Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and invited the RMC representatives to participate in the next session of the Eurasian Islamic Council.

Rushan Abbyasov and Omar Savuran, who are both co-chairs of the commission on religious affairs of the Russian-Turkish public forum, discussed plans for the year 2020, agreeing to implement a number of cultural and educational projects.
