"Made in Russia" Exhibition opened in Manama The international exhibition of Russian goods and services —“Made in Russia” — opened its doors on 25th November in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The event is a part of the Moscow Halal Expo general project of the Russian Muftis Council and is the result of cooperation between the Russian Muftis Council and the Russian-Bahraini Business Council. The project is supported by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Russia and Bahrain, as well as the SAFMAR Charitable Fund.

The opening ceremony was attended by the first deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Moscow Halal Expo Exhibition Rushan Abbyasov; chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Abdurahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa; governor of Manama Sheikh Hisham bin Abdurahman Al Khalifa; chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of  Bahrain Sheikh Samir Nass; executive director of the Russian-Bahraini Business Council Kamo Babloyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Bahrain Igor Kremnev; Ambassador of  Bahrain to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Mahmoud Ismail Al-Saati; representatives of large Russian companies, business institutions and government departments of the GCC countries.

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain, Sheikh Samir Nass, addressed the guests and participants of the exhibition. He noted that the business community of Bahrain welcomed the "Made in Russia" International Exhibition, which would definitely contribute to strengthening and developing trade and economic relations between Russia and Bahrain and the Middle East region as a whole. In addition, he thanked the Russian Muftis Council for working on the project as a co-organizer.

After that Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the RMC, delivered a speech. Addressing the guests and participants of the exhibition, Rushan Abbyasov noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain was an active global market player and a financial hub, which was due not only to its geographical location, but also to the effective policy of the kingdom. For this reason Bahrain is sometimes called the "gate to the Gulf." Taking these facts into account, the business community should use the opportunity to develop and promote their business in the Gulf region.

“Thanks to the comprehensive support of the Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, more than 30 Russian companies are currently discovering the markets of the GCC countries. I am convinced that the International Exhibition of Russian Goods and Services will serve as a platform for establishing a long-term and beneficial partnership between the business communities of Russia and Bahrain, ”noted the first deputy chairman of the RMC.

The executive director of the RBBC, Kamo Babloyan, addressed the exhibitors and conveyed greetings from the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian-Bahraini Business Council Vladimir Dmitriev. He noted that the "Made in Russia" International Exhibition was aimed at promoting the business, trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf countries, at the same time providing an opportunity to get acquainted with Russian products and services.

Over 30 Russian companies representing the spheres of technology,healthcare, food, textile industry and other industries are participating in the exhibition. The event will be held on November 25 and 26 and will also include roundtable sessions and business meetings in B2B format.
