Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met the chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdurahman Al Khalifa, in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, Ahmad Al-Saati, first deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, Damir Mukhetdinov, chief of staff of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Ildar Nurimanov and head of the international department of Russian Muftis Council Ildar Galeyev.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Abdurrahman conveyed greetings on behalf of His Highness Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa personally to Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and the Russian ummah.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin mentioned the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Bahrain. He noted that one of the joint projects implemented by both countries was the "Made in Russia" International Exhibition of Russian Goods and Services, which is taking place these days in the capital of Bahrain, Manama. The exhibition will give an additional impetus to the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and strengthen ties between the business communities of Russia and Bahrain.

“I would like to thank the King of Bahrain, His Highness Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for his contribution to expanding cooperation between Russia and Bahrain in the religious, educational and cultural spheres, as well as in the halal industry and other areas,” said the religious leader Muslims of Russia.

You are a good friend of Russian Muslims and you have been providing all kinds of support to help establish close relations between Russia and the Muslim world, ”said the leader of Russian Muslims, addressing the chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

Sheikh Abdurrahman noted that the chairman of the RMC made a great contribution to facilitating interethnic and interfaith dialogue in Russia. He mentioned that Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin was a top-tier religious figure not only in Bahrain, but also in many other countries.

During the meeting, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin emphasized the role of the diplomatic mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by Ambassador Ahmad al-Saati, in strengthening Russian-Bahraini relations.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin expressed the hope that Sheikh Abdurahman Al Khalifa enjoyed his stay in Russia and his participation in the session of the “Russia - Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group, which will be held in Ufa.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs and agreed on the further development of partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation.
