Chinese delegation visits Moscow Cathedral Mosque On Wednesday, May 29, a delegation from China visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. On behalf of the Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, Rushan Abyasov, first deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, welcomed the distinguished guests.

The delegation included representatives of traditional Chinese religions who came to Russia for the next meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on cooperation in the religious sphere. The Chinese delegation was headed by the deputy director of the 12th Division of the Unified Front Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, U Gosheng. It should be noted that Sheikh Abdulla Tsun Enling, Vice-Chairman of the Islamic Association of China, was also one of the delegates.

Rushan Abbyasov informed the guests about the history of the Cathedral Mosque, the Muslim communities in Moscow,  as well as the activities of Muslim religious boards chaired by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
