Malaysian delegation visits Moscow Cathedral Mosque On Thursday, April 25, a high Malaysian delegation led by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Mohamad Bin Sabu visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The delegation also included the minister’s wife, Madame Norma binti Alvi; the head of the Air Force, General Affendi bin Buang, the political secretary Mohd Azhar bin Che Mat Matali, the military adviser to the Minister General Mohamed Feyzol Anuar bin Ayob, Assistant Secretary of the Policy and Strategic Planning department, Mr. Hasnol Bin Hassan, Spokesman for Minister Amin Shah Bin Iskandar, Military Assistant to the Minister’s wife Captain Norezia Binty Abdul Razak, Malaysian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Datuk Mat Dris Bin Yaakob.

The meeting with the delegation from Malaysia was held by the first deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Damir Gizatullin. He welcomed the guests on behalf of the religious leader of the Russian Muslims, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin. During a conversation with the Malaysian delegates, Damir Gizatullin informed them about the history of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque and the life of the Muslim ummah in Russia.

The distinguished guests thanked for the meeting and expressed the hope that their visit would contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial relations between Russia and Malaysia.

After the meeting, the Malaysian delegates performed the prayer in the Moscow Cathedral mosque and visited the museum.
