Plenary session of "Russia-Arab World" Forum takes place in Yalta A plenary session of the 7th International Public Forum "Russia and the Arab World: from dialogue to partnership and sustainable peace" was held within the framework of the 5th Yalta International Economic Forum in Yalta.

The speakers included the Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of the Muslims of Russia Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, the Chairman of the Religious Board of the Muslims of Crimea, the Mufti of Crimea and Sevastopol Emirali Ablayev, the Supreme Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Muhammad Hussein, the Chairman of the Arab Culture Forum Asiya Al-Zahr Kassem (Lebanon), general director and founder of the Charter of Loyalty and Belonging to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa,  general director of the International Emirates Investment Group, entrepreneur and public figure Abdullah Al-Shaibani (United Arab Emirates), the Chairman of the Beirut Bank, member of the board of the MIDIAN company Maron Mahul (Lebanon).

Over 50 participants from more than 15 Arab countries, including Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Kuwait, and others, attended the event.

The event was opened by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, who delivered his welcoming speech. He welcomed the participants of the Forum and noted that the purpose of this session was to continue the discussion of the topic Russia and the Arab World, focusing this time on the tasks of developing effective and practical solutions aimed at enhancing interfaith and inter-ethnic peace and harmony in this geopolitical region and at overcoming the destructive conflicts taking place in this area.

Our international project Russia-Arab World has become an essential part of the Russian-Arab humanitarian cooperation, one of the effective tools in the fight against global injustice, a means to protect and preserve human values said Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin during his speech.

He also drew the audiences attention to the fact that  fighting extremism and radicalism remained one of the main dimensions of security provision.

The participants of the 7th International Public Forum Russia and the Arab World: from dialogue to partnership and sustainable Peace demonstrated consensus on many  aspects of Russian-Arab relations. Many speakers also noted that Russia and the Arab countries should develop their friendly, partnership relations, continue to carry out joint activities and implement joint strategic projects.

In addition, many speakers emphasized that the real state of affairs in the Republic of Crimea was very different from the distorted information provided by the Western media. Upon their arrival in Crimea, the Arab delegates could witness the development of the Islamic infrastructure, the construction of the Simferopol Cathedral mosque, opening of religious schools and cultural centers.
