On November 9, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, received a government delegation from Turkey led by Ahmet Berat Conkar, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Great National Assembly of the Turkish Republic.

During the meeting, the parties discussed certain issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint programs and projects. Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin spoke about the relations between the leaders of the two countries - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, emphasizing the fact that Russian Muslims welcomed the further development of friendly relations between Russia and Turkey in all spheres.

The head of the RMC also mentioned that in early November the head of the international department of the Russia Muftis Council Ildar Galeev took part in the 4th session of the Russian-Turkish Public Forum (RTFO), which took place in Antalya.

“The development of ties between our peoples, including those related to the religious sphere, , will contribute to the strengthening of relations between Turkey and Russia,” said Ahmet Berat Conkar.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify contacts and develop further cooperation for the benefit of Russian and Turkish Muslims.
