Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award,
Said Kharib.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin welcomed the guests on behalf of the Russia Muftis Council, the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and Russian ummah, and thanked them for visiting, participating in the contest and for supporting the Moscow International Quran Reciting Competition, which was held this year.

The Mufti noted that the Holy Quran is a source of humanistic principles and values, and that the main objective of the annual Moscow International Quran Reciting Competition was to promote these values. He also noted that the cooperation of the RMC and the organizing committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award contributed to the promotion of islam and the Qur'anic wisdom.
In addition, the leader of Russian Muslims noted the leaders of Russia and the United Arab Emirates established good relations, and both countries and their citizens would benefit from developing these relationships.

The representatives of the UAE delegation were impressed with the arrangements made for the 19th Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition. The Mufti said that the international Qur'an Reciting contests held in the UAE represented a gold standard, and was pleased with the delegates' opinion about the Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition.

At the end of the meeting, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin presented memorable gifts to the delegates. The Russian Muslim leader said he would be very happy to meet again, which will happen very soon — on October 21 at the Crocus City Hall, where the Quran Festival and the final stage of the Competition will take place.
