Russia and Brunei to develop halal industry 
During the visit of the delegation of the Russia Muftis Council to Brunei, the head of the International Centre for Halal Standardization and Certification, Aydar Gazizov, met the representatives of relevant ministries to discuss halal industry development and cooperation in this field.

At the first meeting in the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Brunei, Aydar Gazizov informed colleagues from the Shari'a Department about the activities and principles of the International Centre for Halal Standardization and Certification in the field of certification of products and services. In his presentation, he focused on the halal products' export, sharing his five-year experience in this area. The Ministry representatives informed the guests about the department’s activitied related to the halal industry development, noting that works in this area were governed by legal regulations. During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in creating halal hubs in Brunei in order to export halal products to the countries of South-East Asia and other Arab Muslim states.

Another meeting was held in the office of the Prime Minister of Brunei with the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Labor and Industry Development, where the participants discussed the areas of possible cooperation, in particular, halal tourism in Brunei, due to favorable weather conditions.
