Cooperation between Russian and Uzbek Muslims
Rushan Abbyasov, First Deputy Chairman of the Russia Mufties Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation met Sobitkhon Sharipov, the Head of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan after the academic conference "Oases of the Silk Road: Traditions of Spiritual Relations: Historical and Modern Aspects", which was held in the conference hall of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. The meeting was also attended by the head of the International Department of Russia Mufties Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Ildar Galeev.

Sobitkhon Sharipov conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs, Artykbek Yusupov, to the religious leader of the Muslims of Russia Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

He sincerely thanked the Russia Mufties Council for organizing such an important event and emphasized that the representatives of the Religious Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan would continue to support the international projects of the RMC by taking part in them.

Rushan Abbyasov expressed his gratitude for this feedback and informed the guest that Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin was going to visit Uzbekistan in the nearest future in order to exchange experience and to establish links between the Religious Boards of Muslims of the two states.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further close cooperation.
