The 4th International Schools Arabic Debating Championship was held in Doha, Qatar. The Championship is organized by the QatarDebate Centre under the auspices of Sheikha Hind Bint Tani Al Khalifa, CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. The Championship is held every two years; and this year it hosted 50 participating countries, including 35 countries where Arabic is not the official language.

It should be noted that Russia participated in this international event for the first time. Participation of the Russian team became possible due to the support of the Russia Muftis Council.

The Russian team was accompanied by Ismail Gindullin, a specialist of the RMC International Department, who had previously attended training courses for debater trainers organized by the QatarDebate Centre.

The event is of great importance for many Arab countries; thousands of spectators from the participating countries enthusiastically support their teams. The event is covered by the leading media of Qatar and other Arab countries, including Al-Jazeera, Ash Sharq, Al-Arab and others.

The Administration of the General School under the Embassy of Iraq in Moscow was one of those who assisted in implementing this project, in particular, in forming the team and carrying out preliminary preparations for the 4th International Schools Arabic Debating Championship.
