During the visit of the delegation of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates, led by Rushan Abbyasov, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Russia Muftis Council and Dubai International Holy Quran Award.

The signing took place in the main building of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award with the participation of international and regional media representatives.

During the press conference on the occasion of the signing, Mr. Ibrahim Bumelha, Advisor of the UAE ruler, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, said that "the agreement between the two organizations is meant to strengthen relationships."

According to the agreement, the XIX Moscow International Quran Recitating Competition will be held under the auspices of the First President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

"The signing of this agreement will definitely contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the UAE and Russia. We are encouraging the development of cooperation between our countries in the political and economic spheres. It is necessary that cooperation also covers other spheres, " — said Ibrahim Bumelha.


Rushan hazrat Abbyasov conveyed the greetings of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, noting that the interest in the Moscow International Quran Reciting competition abroad was growing.
