In the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Moscow, the first deputy chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Rushan Abbyasov, met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Russia, Bolot Otunbayev.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Otunbayev noted that the leadership of Kyrgyzstan attached great importance to the development of spiritual ties with Russia. He emphasized that the meeting the Muslim clergy of Russia was an important part of the visit programme of Kyrgyz political leaders.

Rushan Abbyasov informed the head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission about the upcoming events of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, as well as joint programmes implemented together with the Religious Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.

The parties also discussed the issues related to the 3rd International Scientific and Theological Conference "Spiritual Silk Road", which will take place in Bishkek.

During the meeting the parties also discussed further cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the religious field and establishment of stronger ties between the Russia Muftis Council, the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia and the the Religious Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
