On 14 August the Embassy of Pakistan hosted an event devoted to the 70th anniversary of Pakistan's independence.

The event was attended by high-ranking Russian and Pakistani officials. Ildar Galeyev, head of the international department of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, also attended the event.

Ildar Galeyev conveyed greetings and congratulations of mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, chairman do the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan in Moscow, Kazi Mohammed Halilullah, and to the whole nation of Pakistan, wishing them further prosperity, stability and progress.
