Cooperation between Muslims of Russia and Bahrain On Tuesday, 7 February, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, met Ahmed as-Saati, Ambassador Extraordinary and Planipotentiary of Bahrain in Russia.
The meeting was also attended by Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, deputy chairman of the RMC and the SBMRF, Walid Abdullah, the Embassy's interpreter, and Ildar Galeyev, head of the International Department of the RMC.
During the meeting Mr. As-Saati conveyed to mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin the greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and sheikh Khaled bin Ali Al Khalifa.
The parties noticed the positive changes in the development of bilateral Russia-Bahrain relationships in many spheres.
«The fact that the bilateral relations have become more active is mostly due to your efforts, Mr. Ambassador. Your frequent visits to Russian regions, organisation of the visits of Russian and Bahraini delegations, including the visit of the RMC and SBMRF’s delegation last March to Bahrain does not stay unnoticed. We hope for further cooperation, including spiritual and cultural relations”, — said mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
The spiritual leader of Russian Muslims thanked the Embassy for contribution to organisation of the visits of Ali Salih al-Omar, His Majesty’s Qur’an reciter, and Walid al-Janahi, a famous sheikh from Bahrain.
The Ambassador mentioned that His Majesty King of Bahrain expressed willingness to support the Moscow International Qur’an reciting competition. He said: “Russian Muslims are a bridge between Russia and Islamic countries. This is what the cooperation between Bahrain and Russia is based on”.
The parties agreed to develop long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
